Our graduates and employment
The graduates of the department carry out professional activities in the sphere of education as a teacher of the secondary school, methodologists of the regional planetarium, city station of young tourists, specialists in the meteorological station, etc.
Graduates of the specialty «Tourism» carry out labor activity in the sphere of services, culture, science, management, etc.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, 22 students graduated from the EP 6В01506 – Geography, 81% of graduates are employed, and the rest work in other areas. Students who graduated from «Serpіn», work at 100%. And 17 students graduated from EP 6В11101 – Tourism, 63% of them were employed, the rest are studying for magistracy and married.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, in the EP 6В01506 – Geography, a total of 36 students graduated from the specialty, 89% of graduates are employed, the rest are working in other areas. 16 students graduated from the EP 6В11101-Tourism, of which 75% are employed, the rest are studying in the magistracy and have started a family.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, 26 students graduated from the EP 6В01506 – Geography, 88% of graduates were employed in the specialty, the rest are working in other areas. 9 students graduated from the EP 6В11101-Tourism, of which 75% are employed, the rest are studying in the magistracy and have started a family.
At the end of the 2019 academic year, the staff of the Faculty of History implemented another project from a number of planned events.
On December 27, at the Faculty of History, one of the important events was the opening of four facilities aimed at the development of education, science and upbringing. This is a research center for archeology, ethnography, a local history center, an IT office and a Coworking site “History Place”. The opening of these facilities was attended by the leadership of the university, the faculty staff, students and undergraduates, managers and employees of the Aktobe Regional Museum of History and Local Lore. Graduates of the Faculty of History, members of the Alumni Association provided sponsorship for the implementation of the Coworking Space “History Place”.
Opening of a study room in honor of veterans of the war in Afghanistan
On February 23, as part of the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, a study room was opened in honor of the Afghan war veterans. The office is fully equipped thanks to the sponsorship of the university graduate Koilybayev M. Akim of the Aktobe region B. Saparbayev, akim of the city I. Ispanov, representatives of regional and city akimats, representatives of the intelligentsia, scientists, representatives of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, the media, teachers and students took part in the ceremony.
The department of “Geography and Tourism” organized an online meeting with the graduate of our university in 2009, specializing in “Geography”, the winner of the Republican competition “Best Teacher – 2019”, the nominee of the competition “Teacher of the World” – Nadirova Gulsum Kurmanbaevna, in honor of the 85th anniversary of the founding of Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, which took place on 22.04.2020 at 10:15.
During the online meeting, Gulsum Kurmanbaevna congratulated the university on its 85th anniversary, thanked her teachers and answered students’ questions.
In 2021, Asylzhan Burkitalin, a 2014 graduate of the specialty “geography”, was elected to the post of deputy chairman of the Republican youth wing “Zhas Otan”.
Burkitalin Asylzhan achieved a responsible position as a result of his labor. After graduating from university with a degree in geography, he began his career as a teacher at secondary school No. 8 in Aktobe and the Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for gifted children.
In 2014-2015. successfully worked on the TV channels Kazakhstan-Aktobe and Nur.
From 2016 to 2021 he was the chairman of the Aktobe regional branch of the youth wing “Zhas Otan”.
In 2021, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Zhas Otan youth wing.
In 2020, a graduate of the Faculty of 1992-1996, Yerlan Tynimbayuly Karin, was appointed Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After graduating from the university, Yerlan Karin worked as a teacher of history and geography at secondary school No. 33 in the city of Aktobe, since 1999 lecturer in the department of political science at the Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov.
In 1998-2000, he worked as an employee of the Center for Political Studies of the Development Institute of Kazakhstan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Russia and China.
From 2000 to 2003 – Director of the Central Asian Agency for Political Research.
2002-2003 – Freelance Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2003-2004 – First Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party “Asar”, General Director of the International Institute of Contemporary Politics.
From 2004 to 2006, he headed the Center for Anti-Terrorist Programs.
In 2006, he was appointed advisor to the akim of the Mangystau region on political issues
In February 2008, by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Yerlan Karin was appointed head of the internal policy department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In November 2008, by the resolution of the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” Nursultan Nazarbayev, he was appointed Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” for strategic development. In August 2013, he left the post of secretary of the Nur Otan PDP in connection with a foreign internship.
December 2013 – May 2014 – Visiting Professor at the American University in Washington (USA).
In October 2014, by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, he was appointed director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On February 9, 2017, he was appointed chairman of the board of JSC “RTRK” Kazakhstan “”
On April 5, 2019, he was appointed Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
July 30, 2020 appointed Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
He is the chairman of the board of the Kazakhstan Association of Political Sciences, a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Karate-do Federation (AKF). Honorary Professor, Shanghai University of International Studies (2018).
