On April 9, within the framework of the Science Week, a scientific seminar was held on the topic “The role of philosophy in the era of modern science and technology.” This event was attended by the teaching staff of the department “Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and socio-political disciplines”, employees of the research center “Zhubanovtanu”, scientists from other leading universities of the country, students, as well as all interested persons. Opening remarks were made by the head of the department “Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and socio-political disciplines”, Ph.D. Sarsembin Umbetkhan Kuandykovich. He greeted everyone, introduced the participants to the speakers. Presentations were made by Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy of the ENU named after L. Gumilyov Aubakirov Erkin Nysanbekovich, Researcher of the Research Center “Zhubanovtanu”, Master of History Ilyasov Ermek Ergalievich, Candidate of Philosophy, Senior Lecturer of the Department of “Assemblies people of Kazakhstan and socio-political disciplines “Nurgaliev Nurbek Abibullaevich. During the scientific seminar, various questions were asked from the audience regarding philosophical science and its components, in particular the philosophy of politics. The greatest interest was aroused by the question of the role of man in the modern world, the possibility of replacing the human mind with artificial intelligence. As the guest of the scientific seminar, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy of L. Gumilyov ENU Aubakirov Erkin Nysanbekovich noted, modern robots have great potential, but they are not able to take the place of a person and replace him in all spheres.
